CRYSTAL PALACE 0 v 0 READING

Hello and welcome to this late afternoon kick off between Palace and Reading at Selhurst Park.

With the Eagles season practically over, manager Neil Warnock makes two changes to the side that lost at Barnsley on Tuesday, with Matt Lawrence and John Oster coming in in place of Lee Hills and Nick Carle.

Palace: Speroni, Clyne, J Fonte, Lawrence, Hill, Derry, Oster, Danns, Stokes, Moses, Kuqi. Subs: Carle, Hills, Ertl, Ifill, R Fonte.

Reading: Hahnemann, Armstrong, Gunnarsson, Matejovsky, Doyle, Kebe, Harper, Kitson, Rosenior, Bikey, Duberry. Subs: Cisse, S Hunt, Long, Federici, Little.

min: Reading get us under way and Coppell must be sitting in the stand as he hasn't come out the tunnel yet.

min: Reading on the attack straight away as Kitson almost gets a head to Matejovsky's header and then Clyne blocks from Doyle.

min: Palace set up a good move of their own as Moses deep cross is cut back across goal by Oster but no one is there for the Eagles.

min: If any player should like the cameras today then it would be Moses, who twists Rosenior inside out three times before crossing for Kuqi but Bikey gets there first.

min: Palace counter from a Reading corner and Moses plays a throughball for Oster but the Welshman is adjudged to have fouled Armstong as the two try to race on to it.

min: Clyne gets in another good block as Reading break, though Kebe is given offside.

min: Reading targeting Clyne's wing quite a bit today, with Kebe getting beyond him this time and then falling over. Palace struggling to clear their lines though.

min: SUB: Kebe has had to come off holding his left thigh, which was heavily strapped anyway. Still it's not a bad replacement to have as Stephen Hunt comes on to play left wing.

min: Chance for Palace as Duberry only diverts Kuqi's pass into the path of Stokes who makes space for himself but is charged down by Hahnemann, who gratefully catches the resulting corner.

min: YELLOW CARD. Stephen Hunt has been a very angry man since he came in on and five seconds after being clattered rather hard but fairly by Hill, the Irishman then clatters Danns even harder and very unfairly. He might have to control his temper if he is to end this game.

min: Fonte escapes a penalty shot as Kitson seems to nudge the ball away from him and then go down but ref Andy D'Urso waves play on. Hmmm...from here I must admit it looked a pen.

min: Kuqi wastes a great chance as he robs Harper and heads into the box but his cross is behind the waiting Stokes. It's been quite even so far with both sides having spells of posession.

min: Little action of quality at the minute. A lot of heavy tackles but not much else.

min: Two chances for Palace in quick succession. Moses long throw is headed out to Derry but his drive is blocked out for a corner by Duberry and then as Reading fail to clear Clyne tries his luck from 30 yards but Hahnemann holds on to the low drive as it headed for the bottom corner. Good try.

min: YELLOW CARD: Rosenior booked for a late tackle from behind on Moses.

min: Palace on top as Moses outpaces Rosenior and crosses low for Danns but the midfielder skies over and then a minute late Kuqi tries an audacious volley but it flies over too.

min: Another great block from Clyne sets up a Palace attakc but Kuqi's touch lets him down in the box and the Stokes fires at the keeper.

min: YELLOW CARD. Hill goes into the book for a needless shove on Hunt.

min: One minute added on as Danns almost gets on the end of a Kuqi cross and gets pole-axed for his troubles. There was some concern for him straight away but he's up now.

HALF TIME: Danns looks fine as the players trudge off. Hasn't been a bad game and could go either way second half.

min: We're under way and straight away Hahenmann is forced into a save from Moses. Coppell given a standing ovation as he makes his way to the dug out.

min: Moses seeing a lot of the ball early in this second half as Reading look like they will be forced into a secong sub as Gunnarsson hobbles off clutching his ankle.

min: SUB: After a brief delay Cisse comes on to replace Gunnarsson.

min: Fonte gets a good block on Kitson as Cisse tries to play him through and Doyle heads the corner over at the near post.

min: Palace playing with some flair, Kuqi in particular is brimming with confidence, as shown by his flick to release Oster on the right but his cross can only go to Hahnemann.

min: SUB: Last change for Reading as Matejovsky goes off and Long coems on, meaning Coppell's men will probably go 4-4-2 with Long and Kitson up front and Hunt and Doyle on the wings.

min: Nobody closes Kitson down on the edge of the box and the striker tries a curler that goes about a foot wide. Let off.

min: Moses wins a free kick on the edge of the box with a fine bit of play as Rosenior brings him down but Stokes curls the chance about a foot over.

min: It's gone a bit quiet again and I must say I have been a bit disappointed with Reading, some of their passing has been awful but now I've said that they'll probably put two dozen passes together and score.

min: RED CARD. Moses goes past Rosenior yet again and the right back takes him down earning a second yellow and a red. It was right on the edge of the box too out wide and could easily have been a penalty. As it is Oster wastes the free kick.

min: Attendance 14,567

min: Stephen Hunt has moved to right back now and if Palace can give Momses the ball they can probably get him sent off too.

min: Kuqi heads over after Moses has a shot blocked and Palace are knocking at the door.

min: Moses goes past Hunt half a dozen times before reaching the by line but his pull back goes right through Stokes. That was a chance. Ifill getting ready.

min: Ifill replaces Stokes whose last act was to set up Danns 12 yards out but in space he leans back and blazes over.

min: All Palace as Derry crosses for a free Moses at the back post but despite stretching he can't make contact.

min: Moses has been superb today and he gets to the byline again and though Kuqi gets a touch to his cut back the ball trickles agonisingly wide.

min: YELLOW CARD. Doyle booked for a cynical hack on Clyne as the youngster ran away from him with ease down the right wing.

min: SUB: Oster off, Rui on.

min: Three minutes added on.

min: Reading win a corner but Speroni claims Duberry's header under no pressure.

ALL OVER and Coppell gets another healthy round of applause as he leaves the pitch. In the end Palace will be upset not to have taken three points today against a disappointing Reading side, though in truth the Eagles never forced Hahnemann into a decent save. Two weeks off now though so I will see you at Loftus Road on April 4.
