Crystal Palace ended their Premier League campaign in winning style on Sunday thanks to Marouane Chamakh's winner over Swansea City.

The 1-0 scoreline at Selhurst Park lifted the Eagles into the top half of the table, and completed a remarkable turnaround in fortunes since the arrival of Alan Pardew in January.

The Eagles were grounded in the bottom three, but since then they have won 10 out of 18 games under the former Newcastle United boss.

Pardew said: "We knew we had a chance [to finish 10th] today.

"We have a squad here that is not short of quality or character and they've shown that. We have a strong group.

"It's been a great experience, I've thoroughly enjoyed it. I've loved working with the staff and players.

"We want to kick on now."
