Police are hunting a group of thugs who launched a "nasty, unprovoked" attack on two Crystal Palace fans after the FA Cup final.

The victims, a man and woman both in their 40s, were attacked outside Wembley Stadium train station at about 4.40pm on May 21.

The group punched the man in the face before targeting the woman, knocking her to the ground and kicking her foot repeatedly.

She was taken to north London hospital suffering from a dislocated foot. The man did not require treatment.

Police believe the pair were targeted by the attackers because they were Crystal Palace fans.

No arrests have been made.

The main suspect was described as a short and stocky white man with distinctive side-burns.

DC Lauren Taylor-Rose, from Brent CID, said: "This was a nasty, unprovoked attack on a couple enjoying cup final day in Wembley.

"The woman has lasting damage as a result of the foot injury from what was meant to be a fun day out.
