Tottenham Hotpsur's search for a striker appears to have turned to Bayer Leverkusen's Heung-Min Son with Sky Germany reporting the South Korean is in England for a medical.

The 23-year-old, who can play as a striker or a winger, will undergo a medical with Spurs ahead of a £22 million switch from the Bundesliga club.

Son, who played for Hamburger SV for three years before joining Leverkusen in 2013, has scored 21 league goals in 47 league starts for Bayer.

Born in Chuncheon, the 6ft attacker began his career with FC Seoul in his homeland before a move to Hamburg in 2008.

After two years in die Rothosen's Academy setup, Son stepped up to the first team and hit 20 goals in 50 starts prior to his switch to the BayArena.
