Crystal Palace manager Neil Warnock believes Carl Fletcher can help Nottingham Forest climb the table after the midfielder joined their Championship rivals on a six-week loan.
Fletcher has not started a game for the Eagles since March after losing his place in the team when Shaun Derry returned to SE25, but will have his sights set on first team football at the City Ground.
Warnock said: “I spoke to Colin Calderwood when we were up there and they have got a lot of youngsters and I think he’s probably just the kind of player they need to keep them all together and start turning the corner.
“It is a good club Forest with good fans and good atmosphere.
“Carl wants a few games and there’s nothing like first team football, every player will tell you that.”
