Julian Speroni: Could do nothing with the goals and claimed his crosses well. 8

Danny Butterfield: Was strong at right-back and his crosses were dangerous. Man of the match. 8Mark Hudson: Struggled to cope with Adebola's physical presence. 7Jose Fonte: Had a difficult time with Trundle but was influential once moved up front. 8Clint Hill: Looks scared to go past the half-way line at times but defended well enough. 7Shaun Derry: A couple of meaty challenges as he tried to inspire the team. 7Ben Watson: Kept head for penalty but his delivery was poor throughout the game. 6Tom Soares: Showed glimpses of class in first 45 but anonymous in the second. 6Scott Sinclair: Occasional good runs but didn't always track back. 6Victor Moses: Failed to stamp authority on the game and was marshalled well. 6Clinton Morrison: Starved of service but was unlucky with first-half chance. 7SUBS:James Scowcroft (Moses, 55): Came back too soon from injury. 5Paul Ifill (Scowcroft, 60): Looked off the pace and again his passing was poor. 5Matt Lawrence (Derry, 75): Slotted into defence well and showed grit. 6
