Sutton-based Patricia Ivory will gear up to beat breast cancer next month by taking part in a women-only cycling event.

She will join hundreds of women for the Breast Cancer Campaign’s event in memory of her mother and aunt, who both died from secondary breast cancer.

Ivory, who has lost four stone with the help of personal trainer Shelley Baker, said: “I am 50 this year and decided that I wanted to achieve some things this year, so I decided to enter this cycling event because I now can and to raise money for a cause that’s close to my heart.”

She hopes to raise £1,000 and has had £400 pledged so far. To help Patricia donate www.justgiving.com/patricia-ivory or to take part visit breastcancercampaign.org
