Whyteleafe teenager Charlie Robertson is determined to move back into the Michelin Ginetta GT4 SuperCup championship top three after disappointment at Thruxton last time out.
In his first season of sportscar racing, Robertson has impressed, earning a podium finish and a victory in his opening two races at Brands Hatch in March, and he is looking to bounce back at Oulton Park after two difficult rounds last month.
The meeting at Thruxton saw the 17-year-old miss out on a podium spot for the first time this season as a series of problems with his Ginetta G55 saw him fail to capitalise on pole position in round seven and lose his championship lead.
Robertson said: “It’s been a few weeks since Thruxton so I’m really looking forward to being back in the car at Oulton where I hope we’ll be able to challenge for a couple of podiums at least.
“The aim at the weekend is to move back up the championship, we lost some ground at Thruxton so the plan is to hit back as quickly as we can.
“I’m really looking forward to being back at Oulton.”
