Gino Rea to compete in Moto2

Epsom motorcycle racer Gino Rea will step up to Moto2 this season after being announced on the provisional list of entrants.
The 22-year-old will ride for Gresini Racing after impressing in testing for the Italian team in November and becomes the third Britain in the championship, alongside Bradley Smith and Scott Redding.
Rea will make his debut in the intermediate class and is one of 32 names announced so far.
Last year, Rea was competing in World Supersports and finished 11th in the overall standings, claiming a maiden win in Brno, Czech Republic, and one third place at Donnington in his 12 races.
Moto2 is the step below MotoGP in which racing greats such as Valentino Rossi, Casey Stoner and Jorge Lorenzo compete.
