Whyteleafe progressed comfortably through to the first round qualifying of the FA Cup, and picked up a cheque for £1,925, thanks to a 2-0 win at rivals Croydon.

The host's main threat was from the long throws of Jamie Atkins, one of which found Claudio De Almeida in space in the box, but his 19th minute header went wide.

Bentley Graham had a shot saved from a Taylor Smith cross, then Roscoe D'sane found the back of the net in the 26th minute but was ruled out for offside.

The second half began with Leafe on top and the lead eventually came their way in the 55th minute.

Graham found Ryan Fowler wide on the left and his cross found D'sane in the box and he made no mistake from close range.

Ameyaw kept the hosts in with a chance with a string of good saves - tipping over a dipping Jensen Grant shot from 25 yards in the 63rd minute, and then doing the same from Gareth Williams moments later.

Leafe made certain of their place in the next round 10 minutes from time when Taylor Smith chased down a long ball down the right, and his cross picked out Williams in the box who found the back of the net from close range.

Further chances fell Leafe's way, but the 2-0 scoreline always looked comfortable enough and saw them safely through to a home tie against Horley Town on September 14.
