Walton Casuals boss Mark Hams will not press the panic button should the Stags’ winless run stretch to four games at Peacehaven & Telscombe on Saturday.

Hams men remain top of the Ryman Division One South despite the run of form that has seen them concede 15 goals in their last eight league and cup games.

The Waterside Drive chief has signed 34-year-old ex-Kingstonian defender Gary MacDonald to plug the gaps at the back, but beyond that he will give his side the chance to put things right.

“We are still yet to lose two in a row and are still top of the table, so there is plenty to be positive about,” said Hams.

“Most of the team were part of the side that won seven in a row, so they are not a bad side over night.

“We know the areas we need to address, but we’ll not be pulling the side apart.”
