Met Police boss Jimmy Cooper has tempered the loss of Manny Osei by adding two new faces to his Blues squad.

Osei signed a two-year deal with Lowestoft Town after the two clubs agreed a fee for the striker on Friday, allowing Cooper to capture Farnborough Town defender Tom McGarry and Carshalton Athletic’s James Ashton.

The pair, both named on the substitutes bench, could do little about a 4-1 defeat at Hendon on Saturday, but they will hope for much better when Canvey Island visit Imber Court this week.

Meanwhile, Crawley Town striker Jonte Smith got his first Met Police goals since returning to Imber Court on loan when he netted the second and third goals in the Blues’ 3-1 Ryman League Cup win over Hampton & Richmond Borough on Tuesday night.

Reserve team player Bobby Bennett grabbed the opener.
