British Airways women put on a fine display in the second half of their league fixture against mid table Hampton to win 5-1 and keep their runners-up spot hopes alive.

With a scrappy first half it was Heidi Kuivaniemi-Smith that opened the scoring for BA, before Hampton equalised after Svitlana Klachko fumbled a back pass from centre back Nicole Cho-Yee allowing Hampton to strike at an empty net.

Kuivaniemi-Smith got her second of the day just before half time after some brilliant work from winger Charlotte Bungaroo.

Kuivaniemi-Smith strike unbeatable hitting the top left hand corner.

Putting the shaky first half behind them BAWFC came out a different team in the second half and dominated the pitch.

With Kuivaniemi-Smith on fantastic form it wasn't long into the second half before her fellow strike partner Marie Weston got BA's 3rd goal. Kuivaniemi-Smith laid the ball to Weston in the box who curled the ball into the top right hand corner.

With BA going 3-1 up Hampton looked defeated and BA kept up the pressure playing probably their best football this season with some wonderful passing and shooting.

It was Kuivaniemi-Smith turn to provide for Bungaroo who slotted past the Hampton keeper from a few yards out.

And there was still time for Katie Youell to grab BA's fifth of the game with fantastic strike from over 20 yards out.

Another great display from centre back Nicole Cho-Yee ensured that BA's goal was not threatened in the second half.

BAWFC Reserves lost at home to Kent Magpies, with Petra Lausen fantastic strike getting the Reserves only goal of the day.

BAWFC hope to continue the winning form when they face league leaders Flamingoes away this Sunday.

BA's reserves will face Hendon away in their league fixture.
