Midfielder Mo Harkin celebrated securing a permanent move to Kingstonian by playing an influential part in Sunday’s 3-0 Ryman League Premier Division triumph over Hendon.

A Bobby Traynor brace - taking his season’s tally to 20 goals - and Carl Wilson-Denis’ 53rd minute opener was enough to avenge their side’s 2-1 FA Cup defeat to the same opponents.

Harkin, who set-up Traynor’s first at the weekend, joined from Farnborough Town originally on a three-month loan but made the move permanent on Friday.

“Mo is one of the best users of the ball in the league - he wins and then retains it, simple as that,” said Dowson.

“He’s got good experience at both professional and non-league level and we’re delighted to be able to keep him.”

Meanwhile, fellow midfielders Karl Beckford and Des Boateng have quit Kingsmeadow having failed to settle since arriving in August.

“Karl needs to be starting more games and Des has been travelling from north London so needs to find somewhere more local,” added Dowson.

“They came in as part of half a dozen or so when we were have a real tough time and have helped do a great job in turning things round.”
