The samba stars will be strutting their stuff at Imber Court in July after the Metropolitan Police secured a friendly with nomadic side Brazilian United.

Not only that but a carnival atmosphere is secured after all 3,000 tickets were snapped up moments after going on sale.

Brazilian United is a scratch side off Brazilians playing their football in the London area, and Blues boss Jimmy Cooper is excited at the prospect.

Cooper said: "It will be a great occasion.

"The offer came in that the Brazilians wanted to play a Met Police side as a way of building relations between the police and their community.

"They are a very tight knit community and they go en masse so it will be a great day.

"It is a great way to build a platform between the two sides."

The July 13 game will be just one of eight pre-season friendlies arranged by Cooper as he looks to build a winning formula for this year's Ryman South campaign.

Other interesting encounters have been organised with AFC Wimbledon (July 15) and Fisher Athletic (Aug 2), as well as matches with Northwood, Cove, Newport Pagnell, Eastbourne United and Uxbridge.
