Worcester Park skipper Rob Waite praised the remarkable bowling of Grant Helm after the left arm spinner took 5-8 in a thumping nine-wicket win at Pyrford.
Park are now fifth in Division Two after reversing a run of three straight defeats.
Pyrford could not match Helm’s bowling, being skittled for 109 off 44.1 overs – and Park knocked off the runs with the lost of one wicket and Joe Hill top-scoring and unbeaten on 45.
Waite said: “Grant bowled beautifully, he hit the spot consistently and after getting two in two, he was unlucky not to get a hat-trick.
“He came to us before this season and until then we did not have a left arm spinner, so he really gives us options.”
He added: “We very clinical in knocking the runs off. Sometimes if you lose an early wicket or two, you can start to get nervy, but there was none of that.
“But we needed the win, and now we have five players coming back this week, meaning we have a fully fit squad for Purley this weekend.”
