Downs Club continued preparations for the new netball season as part of a London & South East Regional League warm-up tournament on Sunday.
The Epsom-based Division Two team, skippered on the day by Kate Pettis, beat divisional rivals Gems 29-26 and Hyde Park 27-21 in practise matches at Lady Eleanor Holles School in Hampton.
Division One Whitton Netball Club, coached by Yvette Dixon, also enjoyed a good runout in the four-team pre-season event, with wins over Division Two teams Hyde Park and Gems.
Downs start their London and SE Regional League Division Two campaign at Essex Open on Spetember 21, while Whitton start the Division One season at Queens on the same day.
