Twickenham captain Carlos Nunes has fired the first shot in this summer’s Middlesex County League Premier Division title chase.
Nunes’ men, runners-up to champions Teddington last season, confirmed former New Zealand U19 captain Leo Carter as their overseas player this week for the forthcoming campaign.
The 20-year-old top order batsman’s arrival signals Nunes’ intentions this season with ex-Middlesex batsman Dan Housego also thought to be considering a move back to the Green-based club.
“We are really excited at the prospect of using Leo’s resources to win the Premier Division this season,” said the captain.
