Kingston-based land alpine ski star Edward Drake is aiming for the stars since proving his fitness after recovering from a hip operation and earning reselection for the senior British team at Europa Cup level.
Despite suffering discomfort, Drake has enjoyed success this season, winning an FIS slalom in Elm, Switzerland, and coming fourth at the British Championships in Meribel, France.
Drake says: "The operation kept me out of action for 20 months, but a rehab programme involving physio, cycling, rowing and squash enabled me to finally put on a pair of skis for free skiing."
