A hat-trick by Andy Ventris inspired Cheam to an emphatic 4-1 victory over promotion rivals Spencer Saints in hockey's Surrey Division Three.
Two goals from man of the match Ventris, plus another from defender Rob McCarthy, put the game beyond Saints' reach by the interval. Ventris completed his hat-trick after half-time, but Saints were able to poach a consolation goal late in the game.
Meanwhile, the Cheam second team returned to winning ways with a 5-0 demolition of Woking in Surrey Open Division One. Cheam's goals were scored by Ben Ogden, Mario de Sa, Ed Pullen, Oliver Perez and Derek Gibb.
Elsewhere, the third team slipped to 3-0 defeat to Wanderers in Surrey Open Division Four.
