Coombe A have been crowned Kingston girls' schools volleyball champions after a string of flawless performances at a borough tournament.
Six Kingston schools participated in the event - Hollyfield, Tiffin Girls, Holy Cross, Chessington CC, Coombe Girls A and Coombe Girls B - and the teams played each over once over 15 minute matches.
However, Coombe A emerged worthy winners after dominating all their matches and achieving maximum points. Meanwhile, Coombe B finished in second place and Chesington were third.
Mike Skinner, the Richmond & Kingston competitions manager, said: “The girls thoroughly enjoyed the competition and demonstrated how quickly the students have learned the game.”
