Epsom & Ewell Harriers’ Jacob Paul helped his English Schools team to a gold medal at last Saturday’s Indoor Combined Events International in Glasgow.
Competing in the U16 boys’ pentathlon, he claimed the silver medal with 3,189 points, helping the U16B England team to overall victory.
His results in each discipline were: 60m hurdles, 8.68 seconds (personal best), long jump, 5.94m (PB), 200m, 25.05, shot put, 12.17m, 800m, 2:11.44.
Jacob had been selected on the strength of his gold medal at the English Schools Combined Events Championships in Bedford in September, when he amassed 3,127 points.
