Sutton & Cheam U14s junior water polo team had to battle hard in their London Winter League match to get a result against a combined Mid-Sussex team that had some strong individual players in their squad.
The Sutton squad included two eleven year olds in their starting line up and came away 5 - 1 winners.
Goals from Matthew Helps(2), Kieran Castle(2) and Louis Creamore were made possible by strong defensive performances from James Maynard and Jack Short.
The score may have been more had it not been for some fine saves by the Mid Sussex goalkeeper from Sutton's Isaac Tidy and Chris Creamore's goal ward bound attempts.
Sutton's goalkeeper Mofe Wilkey was solid in the Sutton goal making numerous crucial and spectacular saves.
The whole squad played their part in this display of how teamwork wins over individual performances.
Squad: Chris Creamore, Mofe Wilkes, Isaac Tidy, Kieran Castle, James Maynard, Jack Short, Matthew Helps, Louis Creamore
