Wimbledon Flames have won volleyball’s Surrey Men’s Division One title for the first time.
They beat Mole Valley in their final game to pip Guildford on set difference.
Flames started nervously, losing their first two sets, but showed great spirit to battle back to win.
Meanwhile, Wimbledon Wildfire have been crowned South London League champions.
Having been unbeaten during the qualification matches, they came out on top in the four-team finals day hosted by Richmond Volleyball Club.
Players: Paul Rowlands, Rob Peacock, Martin Sinclair, Rafal Wroblewski, Petr Nahlik, Marek Londyn, Makiko Ashida, Katarina Cepinova, Piotr Cechowski, Ihor, Salvador Alvarez, Jean-Michel Fromentin.
Meanwhile, Wimbledon Wildkats finished second in the Surrey Women’s League, having been the only team to beat the eventual winners.
Wimbledon Flames and Wildkats will attend the SEVA Cup, featuring the best teams from throughout south-east England, this Saturday and Sunday.
