South London Storm A, making their debut in Rugby League Conference South, started with a 40-22 win over Guildford Giants on Saturday.
The match was their first at their new Poulter Park base, home of Mitcham RFC.
Phillip Browne (two), David Wojiechowicz (two), Phil Davies, Paul Wojiechowicz, Jim Berry and Dave Walters got their tries.
But Storm’s first team lost 34-20 at West London Sharks in Sunday’s opening round of RLC Premier South action.
Anton Gall (two), Mark O’Shea and Jeremy Benson scored tries for Storm, who lost Dane Brennan and Billy Osborne to injury.
Poulter Park hosts a double-header this Saturday with Storm A facing Southampton (1pm), before Storm play Portsmouth (2.30pm).
