Kingstonian's top order failed to take advantage of a flat track when skipper Imran Khalid won the the toss against Chipstead.

Khalid himself went for nought as his side were reduced to 25-3 before Awon Abbas and Sajjad Ali stopped the rot with a stand of 93.

Ali went on to hit 70 and Abbas 57, but Ks needed one of them to go on to three figures to set any sort of real target.

Ks eventually closed on 211-9, but the visitors never really looked in trouble and paced their reply very well.

Ben Watson’s 74 not out saw them to 213-5 in 46 overs, with Abbas and Talha Ahmed picking up a couple of wickets apiece.
