26.2 Road Runners Club’s Luke McDonagh won the Perch event, organised by Epsom Oddballs on Sunday.
He clocked 38 minutes, one second, to complete the 6.25-mile multi-terrain race 10 seconds clear of Tadworth’s Dave Williamson.
Williamson took the veteran’s prize ahead of third-placed Shaun O’Gorman of Alchester (38:17).
The event was this year moved to Nonsuch Park after organisers were denied permission to host the event at its traditional venue on Epsom Downs.
The two laps featured tarmac, grass, woodland paths and a little mud.
Surbiton-based 26.2, who this year celebrate their 30th anniversary, provided 35 of the 297 finishers in the event with Declan Flynn sixth, Dominic Collier 10th, Joe Chang 15th and Steve Watkins 19th, helping them to take the men’s team prize.
They also took the women’s team prize, with third-placed Zoe Ashcroft backed up by Laura Roberts and Libby Marchant.
Tadworth’s Pat Wright was fifth (39:13), while 28th-placed Geoff Newton was first in the men’s over-60 class (42:33).
