Twickenham blew the London Division Two South West title race wide open with a 12-6 victory over previously-unbeaten leaders Tottonians at Parkfields on Saturday.
Fly-half Luke Scarborough landed four penalties to ultimately seal maximum points, with his two second-half efforts edging his side ahead having seen the scores level at 6-6 at half-time.
Tottonians launched a come-back in the last ten minutes of the game, but director of rugby Earle Wilkes’ men managed to hold out to seal a well-fought victory.
Twickenham, who are now one of four teams sitting just two points behind leaders Tottonians, travel to London Division Two South West strugglers Winchester in the RFU Intermediate Cup this weekend.
