Rosslyn Park go into their final pre-season game this Saturday with head coach Jan Bonney close to knowing his first-choice 15, writes Graham Moody.

The 40-year-old believes he knows 12 players that will line up for Park when they begin their National League One campaign at home to Blackheath on August 27.

And the other three places are there to be fought over when they face London Scottish at Met Police’s Imber Court ground this Saturday.

“At some stage in that game, I will probably have my first-choice 15 on the pitch,” said Bonney, who replaced Florent Rossigneux this summer.

“We have around 30 players that could play in the first team and we will be looking at some combinations.

“I am there or there about in terms of knowing 10 or 12 players that will start against Blackheath but there are a few places still up for grabs and I am looking for players to put their hands up.”

Park lost their second warm-up game 33-27 to Richmond last Friday night, with Nev Edwards, Nick Huggett, Charlie Gower and Nathan Morris all scoring tries.

“This weekend against London Scottish we will try and play a little more league rugby to get ready for Blackheath,” added Bonney.
