Old Walcountians remain bottom of Surrey One with four games to go after losing 15-5 to Old Wimbledonians.
Counts' return to action after a month lay-off due to bad weather and fixtures being cancelled or rearranged saw their campaign to avoid relegation suffer another setback as they were edged out by fellow-strugglers OWs.
There was no lack of commitment by the Counts, who have been encouraged by recent excellent turnouts at training.
But the Dons had the edge on them during the match and ended up running in three tries to one from Walcountians’ scrum-half Callum Stone.
Next Saturday, Walcountians take on Charlton Park in a friendly at Clock House. Kick-off is at 2:30pm.
