Rea ready to get tough at Broncos
2:42pm Friday 27th July 2012 in Rugby League
Acting London Broncos head coach Tony Rea will not shirk the hard decisions as he bids to turn the club’s fortunes around.
Rea saw his men hammered 44-6 by Challenge Cup semi-finalists Wigan Warriers in his first game since taking over frm the ousted Rob Powell.
The Broncos have won just three Super League encounters this season and named an unchanged squad for the Warriors defeat with the same predictable result.
And Rea, who takes his men to Catalan Dragons tomorrow, insisted that did not mean he would show blind faith in the set-up that continues to misfire.
“I’ve clearly seen some of the issues around the place. The deal’s about solutions. They must come from within,” he said.
“The Wigan game was very much a ‘show me what you’ve got’. I have to sit down and think about a few things.
“I haven’t come here to make any soft calls and take the soft road, we’re going to have to make some decisions and get to the positives and find good things inside us.”
