rea hailes first Broncos win
1:28pm Friday 10th August 2012 in Rugby League
London Broncos boss Tony Rea was full of praise for his Super League charges after a remarkable second-half comeback overturned Salford 40-28 at the Twickenham Stoop.
Trailing 28-6 at half-time, seven tries and three conversions gave the Broncos their first win in six attempts.
Rea said: “People will probably ask me, ‘What did you say at half-time?’
“The key things came from Chris Bailey and Craig Gower. I just saw the glint in the eyes of the guys once they backed up our messages, so full credit to the leaders in the team.”
Second-half tries from Kieran Dixon, Jamie O’Callaghan, Luke Dorn, Craig Dower, Will Lovell, Chris Bailey and Tony Clubb added to Omari Caro’s first-half score and Gower’s four conversions.
Rea takes his men to Castleford Tigers on Sunday.
