Staines climb to second

10:57am Monday 13th October 2008

Staines moved up to second spot in London & South East Division Two North after a 36-8 win over basement boys Letchworth on Saturday. Letchworth, to their credit, fought hard all the way limiting Staines scoring opportunities, nevertheless the home side were guilty of some poor decision making and execution, leading to some scrappy periods of play, it may well be that the League has improved since last season and has a more competitive edge to it, only time will tell but in the interim, Staines look well set to challenge for promotion once again.
