Rugby league: Hurricanes blow away their competition

Croydon Hurricanes U9s rugby league side won the Harlequins Mighty Quins' Festival at The Stoop Memorial Ground on Saturday.

The festival took place before the Super League clash between Harlequins RL and Salford Reds with the trophy being presented by Sky Sports rugby league presenter Chris Warren.

Croydon Hurricanes also had a team in the U11s competition that finished a creditable second.

The success follows on from earlier season festival victories for the Hurricanes in the South London Rugby League Festival and the Brixton RL Festival.
