McLaren are to launch an appeal against the decision to strip Lewis Hamilton of his victory in Sunday's Belgian Grand Prix at Spa-Francorchamps.
The Briton was handed a 25-second penalty, dropping him to third, as he was deemed to have gained an advantage when cutting the chicane on lap 42.
A team statement said: "Based on our data we have no option other than to register our intention to appeal."
