Time to stand up and be counted

By Graham Moody »

As Palace fans we all know that sinking feeling of disappointment - it has happened to us all too often.

Unfortunately, that feeling was back in abundance after last night's embarrassment at the hands of Leeds United and I fear that unless Neil Warnock takes action now we are going to be getting a lot more of it.

Not finding the net in four of our five games so far this season is just not good enough.

It is no secret we are short of strikers - everyone knows that - but it seems an easy excuse to blame all our problems on that.

We aren't creating anything from midfield. With Nick Carle and Tom Soares in front of Shaun Derry we should have one of the best midfields in the Championship, but they simply aren't performing.

We have some good wingers too but Victor Moses is not on his game right now and John Oster and Leandre Griffit are still settling in.

I think it is time for one of those famous tea cup-throwing moments from Warnock and for him to switch things about, drop a few names and tell people it is time to step up. If he doesn't, it is going to be a long old season.
