Councillor Mike Fisher
So yet another politician has been speaking out of both sides of their mouth.
Out of one side Councillor Mike Fisher tells us all, including council staff, that a 1 per cent pay raise is all that the country can afford.
Yet, out of the other side he is in whispered tones asking council officers to let him take an 18 per cent pay increase, probably while singing, “The working class, etc”!
Why has Coun Fisher not done the right thing and resigned?
I will tell you if you have not guessed – money.
I am pleased other councillors saw the light and rejected theirs.
As a constituent of his, I would not miss him.
