It was interesting to see Councillor Stuart Collins saying that fly-tipping is a national problem (Your Say, September 10).
A few months ago, he was saying it was all the fault of the then Conservative council.
It would appear he has discovered there is more to solving this problem than wearing a red rosette – or a T shirt.
And it was disappointing to see the new Ashburton councillors blaming everything on their predecessors.
What residents want to know is whether the travellers who left all that rubbish on Ashburton playing fields are being prosecuted?
If not, why not?
