On November 7 I was parked in a road in Croydon to take pictures of a house for 15 minutes at the most and when I came out my car had been towed away.
Although I deserved it for parking on the single yellow line with two wheels on the kerb, while waiting to get picked up a van parked over the road in the exact same manner that I was, and the traffic warden gave him a ticket.
He got a £65 fine, and I got a £265 fine and my car was impounded.
It was the same offence, but just because they cannot tow a van he got away with a £200 cheaper bill and no headache of going down to the impound to get it out.
This it totally unfair. If they cannot tow the van maybe charge the same amount of what the impound cost?
I just got charged an extra £200 because I do not own a van. Thanks Croydon Council.
