The thing I remember most was a beautiful girl, Susan Hartwell, daughter of the proprietor, who I knew but I was too shy to ask out (Century-old butcher shuts, March 25).
That was in the 60s. I would love to hear from her.
I did go to the butcher’s shop as well – it was a friendly place with good meat and good value.
