The recycling bins removed from Ashburton Park attracted fly-tippers and it was not a nice sight.
I am a resident of Tenterden Road – I am so pleased the bins have gone. The refuse vans would empty the bins daily, sometimes several times a day, the glass banks were so noisy when emptied.
Tenterden Road has to put up with a lot of discomfort from the arrival and departures of the fun fair into the park, several times a year.
There are recycling banks at Tesco Elmers End and Co-Op Lower Addiscombe Road. Let our parks be for the children and not the fly-tippers.
Maybe the council could allow free disposal of items twice a year for the people of Croydon?
Factory Lane is only down the road.
