Chance to get on the ladder

The letter from Croydon’s Labour leader (October 29) covered a wide range of topics.

However, many will not forget the big council tax rises when his party ran the council, one being 27 per cent. That when the Government wanted us to believe inflation was its lowest since the year dot.

At least David Cameron hasn’t presided over a huge personal debt bubble built on soaring house prices.

Many first-time buyers have been priced out of the housing market for years. Let’s hope that recession will not force too many out of their jobs so they cannot take advantage of falling property prices.

there has been a lot of talk concerning ANDREW PELLING, i just hope that this man stands again as the person who has taken his place GAVIN BARWELL does not seem care what happens. i sent him an e-mail in june, and a copy of that e-mail in september, iam still waiting for a reply. at least with Andrew he was interested in what was going on and tried his best to put it right, in my opinion he is a far better representative of the people.

Are you sure you have the right address? I've e-mailed him a few times and had responses within an hour or so.
