So Andrew Pelling's conversion from Conservative to Labour is complete and supplemented by a letter from him in the same issue.

The latter refers to poor treatment of Croydon by the Government.

If true, then that would be nothing new when compared with the treatment Croydon received from Labour.

That resulted in big council tax increases, culminating in a massive 27.3 per cent increase in one year alone - at a time when there was money sloshing around elsewhere.

Remember Croydon, Labour council under a Labour Government, Mr Pelling?
