Figures taken from research by the Chartered Institute for Public Finance and Accountancy (CIPFA) show that Croydon Council has failed to collect £40 million of council tax making it the worst in London.
Yet the council still expects us the honest ratepayers to suffer increases of 45% in on street parking charges whilst at the same time increasing their own “allowances” by 33%.
We also find that the councilors themselves get free parking all over Croydon.
Can anyone explain to me why a councilor in for example Selsdon needs to have free parking in Broad Green?
We also learn that our MPs have now reversed the controls over their expenses.
I advise everyone to vote yes in the upcoming electoral reform referendum and make these greedy politicians account for their actions.
Yours sincerely
