Dean Cullinane, a resident of Croydon, has recently graduated from the PEACE training programme held at Preston Seventh-day Adventist Church. Dean, who simply wanted to put his church-going into practice, is a young professional. His trade is Christian video production which he began after deciding that university wasn’t for him – he dropped out after just 3 lectures.

PEACE, says Course Director Adam Ramdin, “ trains people to effectively share their faith in a winsome and loving way. The goal is that those who leave with be ‘empowered to serve, enabled to share and equipped to work effectively for God.’ Our graduates from previous years have gone all over the UK, Europe and further afield to Africa and the USA sharing what they have learned and benefitting others.”

Seventh-day Adventists are members of a well known Christian church with well over 17 million members. The Church is probably best known in Croydon for their choir and their charitable activities raising funds for the international development and relief charity ADRA.

Dean will be going on to serve as a church worker o the Isle of Man but will continue his work with his video team, ‘The Preaching Place’.

Graduates from the PEACE training programme will go on to take their newly learned skills back to their local churches and use them in leadership or in helping with the growth of the local church. Some graduates will go on to take further training which might lead them to wider work in the church.
