Croydon Hurricanes Rugby League club rounded off an outstanding season by being crowned League Champions at U13s and U16s at the LionTrust Grand Finals in Hemel Hempstead this saturday.

For the U16s, this was the 3rd trophy of the season, being crowned Challenge Cup Winners as well as Minor Premiers for 2013.

Rugby League is widely regarded as a northern game, but it is becoming more popular in the south and the fact that Hurricanes have 2 players selected for International squads is testament to this.

With England hosting the rugby league world cup later this year, we are bound to see more people becoming attracted to the sport and Croydon are keen to welcome new players, as well as sponsors and coaches to ensure that the club can continue to provide excellent oppotunities for the youth of the borough.
