The Belfry was ablaze with dance and music on Saturday as two performing arts groups took the stage.

One group was top hat stage school a school for children love to dance, it performed a plethora of dances to famous songs such as Katy Perry’s firework and Michael Jackson’s thriller, where the students wore masks when performing Thriller to represent spookiness , the head of the school said ‘we had literally prepared it in three weeks and worked very hard’, and indeed of what they had achieved. People crammed in to see the performance for themselves and many were recording the event on their phones.

Another group that day was Autism all stars headed by Helen Wallace Iles, it has only been around for 3 years but has been a major success raising thousands of pounds in aid of autism hence the name. The charity is mainly focused on raising money for teenagers and adults, Sophie Chapman who greatly helps out with Helen and also is a member of the charity is an enthusiastic and excellent actor who said that within one day they had ‘raised £300’, a large amount indeed.

There work involved dressing up as characters from Scooby doo characters including Fred, Daphne, Velma and Shaggy. The gang let children take pictures with them to save as memorabilia. Other members included Lucas Ryan who was Fred, he said ‘I always wanted to be Fred when I was younger and oh look now I am ha-ha’. Indeed the charity another event in the belfry this Thursday the 31st October for Halloween involving this time doctor who characters. Credits also go to Dominic Ramsay and Amy parfitt who played Shaggy and Velma.

Overall the two performances lit you the belfry for three hours.
