The VERY full balancing pond by the Brighton Road Recyling Centre. The amazing people in the Emergency Services were working through the night to keep it from overflowing into local streets, houses and businesses
I passed the balancing pond at 10pm last night where firefighters were still working hard in atrocious conditions to keep the waters at the balancing pond and a safe level. From our home you could see them continuing to work through the night - hoping their efforts will be truly appreciated once this is all over. This morning I could see the balancing pond fuller than it has ever been, sparkling in the sunshine.
