This summer the staff and students of Harris Academy South Norwood bring you the musical spectacular Hairspray. This 1960s style show explores the journey of Tracy Turnblad whose dream is to dance on The Corny Collins Show. Along the way, Tracy meets a colorful array of characters, such as Corny Collins, the show's singing host, and Velma Von Tussle, the villainous producer and pushy mum!

Set in 1960s America, Hairspray explores the injustices of American society at the time which Tracy works hard to overcome and we watch as she fights to integrate the characters in the show.

Featuring over 60 performers the show is set to be a real spectacle – you can see it on Tuesday 1 July, Wednesday 2 July or Thursday 3 July at 7pm.

Tickets are priced at only £4 child and £6 adult and are available from Harris Academy South Norwood reception (pop in or call 020 8405 5070) or online at http://www.hasnshop.org.uk/cat/25/performances
