What do you call a collection of vegetarians?

A basket of vegetarians? A kernal of Vegans? a crop of plant consumers? a twitter of seed eaters? a market of bean lovers?

This Saturday the Brighton Centre (in Brighton obviously)plays hosts to more than the usual 'allotment' of vegetarians, more a 'field' of vegetarians as The Bristol Vegan Fayre spreads it wings to takeover Brighton.

The festival is designed to change peoples preconceptions about healthy sustainable living, a kind of 'Change for Life' for potential ethical consumers.

"We want to prove to people that a healthy ethical lifestyle can be delicious and fun as well as kinder to your body and the environment" says organiser Tim Barford from Yaoh Hemp Foods.

Tim and his team have not only managed to gather an impressive diverse selection of exhibitors but also an incredible line up of musicians and celebrity speakers.

There really is something for everyone from a children's room with entertainers, celebrity nutritionists, art exhibition and a mini cinema showing 'a delicate balance' from Australia through to Reggae Grandaddy Macka B, and a great eclectic mix of musicians offering a wide range of live music to suit all tastes.

In an effort to make the event worth traveling to from all parts of the UK and nearby European countries organisers have spent time encouraging Brighton Centre Caterers Kudos Hospitality to step well beyond their normal boundaries.

There will be dishes on offer that most people will have never tried before although they have tried to keep a traditional British seaside feel in the Skyline Restaurant. Vegan Fish and Chips anyone?

Over 4,000 people are expected to descend on Brighton this weekend for the event. Thankfully The Brighton Centre is used to big crowds as they regularly play host to big name bands and celebrities playing in Brighton such as Simply Red, UB40, Eddie Izzard, Jools Holland, Status Quo, Riverdance and Mickey Mouse.

As Brighton is easy to get to from Croydon by train, bus or car its a perfect excuse to be beside the seaside this Mothering Sunday Weekend
